Grand and slightly quirky, the four luxury cottages on the Southrop Manor Estate provide a real country experience in the heart of an idyllic village

The four luxury cottages at Southrop Manor Estate are available for short term let.

Situated around a courtyard at the front of our award-winning barn restoration project, each building has been renovated with great attention to detail and to an extremely high standard of finish, using traditional local materials and skilled local craftsmen. 

All our cottages are named after their working heritage and are decorated using the same approach, a modern take on the traditional English Country House, using an eclectic mix of English and French antique furniture and paintings with a particular emphasis on Cotswold artists.  The beautiful English woven wool fabrics come from our own furniture house Teasel at Southrop . The beds are of the highest quality with Vi-Spring mattresses, goose down quilts and pillows, and four hundred-thread count Egyptian cotton bedding (non-allergenic available by arrangement).

THE TALLET – sleeps 8.  Two double and two twin/double bedrooms, with three bathrooms. The huge living space surrounding a courtyard designed by Bunny Guinness provides wonderful entertaining space with the outside courtyard acting as an extension of the living space. The kitchen, designed by the award winning Simon Bray, has been placed in the corner, acting as pivotal space between the dining and sitting areas, perfect for relaxed, modern family living and entertaining. The curved bar which separates the kitchen from the living area, allows the cook to be part of the party and is furnished with a wine fridge and bar area.

THE DAIRY - sleeps 2.  Perfect for a peaceful, romantic weekend away, this is a cosy, luxurious one-up-one-down cottage, which meets all requirements for a relaxing, dreamy Cotswold experience.

THE OX HOUSE, EAST & WEST - sleep 2 each.  Positioned either side of the grand arch in the front of the Ox house, both cottages are comfortable, charming and quite unusual. Just behind the original and beautifully restored doors are the immaculate stables accommodating professional event horses, which create a wonderful and genuine country atmosphere.

It is possible to rent one or more of our cottages individually. For a bigger party, it is possible to rent the entire courtyard, which sleeps 14.

We can arrange private catering in the cottages by prior arrangement.
