Grand and slightly quirky, Thyme House and our five luxury cottages provide a real country experience in the heart of an idyllic village

We offer a wide range of luxury country accommodation on the Southrop Manor Estate, from the grand Thyme House to our five beautifully restored cottages, sleeping from 2 to 16 people.

Thyme House, recently launched, is an 8-bedroom village house with ample entertainment space, set within its own walled garden.  Four of the cottages are situated around a courtyard at the front of our award-winning barn restoration project, with the fifth cottage located in the heart of the village a few minutes' away.  All our buildings have been renovated with great attention to detail and to an extremely high standard of finish, using traditional local materials and skilled local craftsmen.

We provide an abundant country breakfast basket on arrival and with our award winning village pub, the Swan at Southrop, just a few minutes walk away there is no need to cook if you don't want to. We can also arrange private catering from the Thyme kitchens in the cottages by prior arrangement.

All the cottages have been decorated with a modern take on the traditional English Country House look, using an eclectic mix of English and French antique furniture and paintings, many by Cotswolds artists.  The beautiful English woven wool fabrics come from our own furniture house Teasel at Southrop .

The beds are of the highest quality with Vi-Spring mattresses, goose down quilts and pillows, and four hundred-thread count Egyptian cotton bedding (non-allergenic available by arrangement).
