A hands-on garden design class for urban and country gardeners followed by a delicious seasonal lunch made with produce from local family farmers and artisan producers.
The courtyard garden at Thyme, resplendent with raised vegetable and herb beds and olive grove – all within an arm’s length of the kitchen - was designed by the gardener and designer, Bunny Guinness. Who better to teach the first in our series of gardening design classes?
And what a class it will be as Bunny will show us how to turn our gardens into vital, beautiful and productive green spaces – with varying quantities of flowers, fruits and vegetables … and chickens and pigs for those who can. Working with plans of our own individual gardens (which we will bring to the class) as a starting point for discussion and constructive illustration, Bunny will show us how we can transform them by teaching us the basic principles of good garden design.
This class may sound ambitious – rest assured, you do not need to draw well. This will be an informal yet instructive and enjoyable course with one of the country’s most personable and respected gardeners. The class will be limited to twelve participants to benefit from Bunny’s hands-on and individual guidance throughout the day.
