Call of the Wild - Foraging
Mushroom Foraging and Cultivation

During a walk, Claudio will show us the principals of sensitive, safe and sustainable foraging as he shows us how to identify and carefully pick autumn's wild edible plants, with a special focus on mushrooms. A practical demonstration will follow where Claudio will show us how to grow  mushrooms  on woodchippings, in woodlands and  on straw.

This will be followed by a rustic al fresco cookery demonstration when Claudio will clean and prepare the morning's bounty before showing us how to cook a selection of interesting and delicious tasting dishes.

Accomodation: For those wishing to stay at Southrop for the weekend and join our forage, stay in our cottages www.southropmanorestate.co.uk.
