Silvana de Soissons is an Italian cook who writes about food and drink.  A fourth generation cook, born into a foodie Lombard family from Milano and Bergamo, growing fresh food, sourcing good ingredients and preparing delicious meals have been at the heart of her everyday life and work ever since childhood.

Silvana de Soissons is an Italian cook who writes about food and drink.  A fourth generation cook, born into a foodie Lombard family from Milano and Bergamo, growing fresh food, sourcing good ingredients and preparing delicious meals have been at the heart of her everyday life and work ever since childhood.

She now works in England as a private cook, food writer and food stylist, specialising in "la cucina casalinga", the home and hearth cooking of the Italian country house.  In March 2011 she launched The Foodie Bugle, an online co-operative food and drink magazine that tells the whole story of good food and drink (www.thefoodiebugle.com).
