Oliver's Ciders and Perries

All the ciders and perries are made from vintage cider apples and Perry pears, washed, milled, macerated, pressed and fermented, then matured and aged in old oak barrels. Available bottled or in season, from the barrel. The fruit is from traditional, environmentally friendly orchards from unsprayed trees.

Halfpenny Brewery – Brewed on the Banks of the Thames at Lechlade

The Halfpenny Brewery in Lechlade is situated at The Crown Inn. It is a new, independent micro-brewery, producing a small number of real ales. Halfpenny Brewery use organic ingredients, including crushed, malted barley and a variety of whole hops for bittering and aroma. Halfpenny Brewery is committed to traditional brewing methods.

Lamberhurst Vineyard

One of the Seven Wonders of the Weald, Lamberhurst Vineyard, is one of the oldest vineyards in Kent. Established in 1972, it is set amongst 20 acres of outstanding beauty with views over Bayham Abbey. The north facing position of the vines ensures that the harvest is a couple of weeks later than south facing vineyards and more importantly reduces the amount of frost damage early in the growing season. Our expert Viticulturalist grows bacchus, pinot noir, rondo, regent and Ortega amongst others.
