Roger Newman- Tiltup Farm Southrop

Roger lives in Southrop and grows to supply his family, James and Erica Graham at Allium Restaurant in Fairford and The Thyme School of Food.

Yorkshire Rhubarb

Generally available from mid-January until mid-March direct from the growers in the ‘Yorkshire Triangle’  where it is grown traditionally, indoors from December and in total darkness, early forced rhubarb is characteristically tender, sweet, slightly acidic and delicate.  Forced Yorkshire Rhubarb has finally been recognised by the EU’s Protected Food Names Scheme and awarded the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) accreditation.
